Date of birth in John Haden of Virginia is 18 July 1785 - but a family Bible gives his birth as Tuesday, 20 July 1874. The Bible appears to have belonged to his parents.
William V. Haden and wife had 5 children, the oldest was Clarence Venable Haden. Clarence V. had 4 children, the third was Thaddeus Kabler Haden, b. 29 Nov 1876 in Evington VA. Thaddeus married Frances Ennis, b. 9 Feb 1881 in Washington, DC, on 10 Apr 1907. They had a daughter Bessie Kabler Haden, b 4 July 1908, d 15 July 1915. Their 2nd daughter was Dorothy Kabler Haden b 20 Aug 1909 - she wrote the book, "John Haden of Virginia", Thaddeus d 1 May 1914; Frances d 2 Apr 1968 in Alexandria, VA

Vol. 1, p.353 William Venable Haden built a colonial brick home two miles south of Evington, named Belmont. He died without a will. Belmont went to daughter Emilia & the land was divided among his sons.
