Deed of gift from Marvil Mosely to his dau Jochebed Nash and son in law Henry Nash, dated 10 Sep 1735; recorded 17 Mar 1740. 50 acres on the east side of Little Bird Creek, bounded by Charles Massie, Michael Holland; part of a grant of 400 acres. 19 Mar 1744, David Davis of Goochland deeded a tract of land to William Davis - 400 acres on the north side of the James River on two branches of the Little Byrd Creek, called Deep Creek and Beach Creek. The land was bounded by Michael Holland, Marvel Moseley, John Hardeen, Robert Williams, John Johnson, and Thomas Sanders. This deed places Marvel possibly near the Davis family of his second wife and near Robert Williams whose son Elias married Agatha Moseley.

A Virginia land patent to John Moss, 20 Sep 1745, also refers to Marvell and his neighbors. 475 acres, Goochland Co. Pointers described as beginning on the corner of "Marble" Moseley, thence with his line; the bank of the Little Byrd Creek, Thomas Massie's corner and his line to the corner of Massie and Cole; with Charles Massie's line, meanders of the Little Byrd. 1746 Tithe list for Goochland, St. James Northam Parish, names Marvel Moseley and Robert Williams.

Marvel wrote his will 2 March 1752 and it was entered for probate on 20 March 1753. He left his land and slaves to wife Mary for her lifetime. He had already given inheritance to Jochabed and Judith. Listed 7 children who were to inherit: Agatha, Avey, Phebey, William Samuel, James and Joseph. The first Agatha had died as an infant; apparently Marvel and John were also deceased by 1752. Witnesses were Joseph Pace, John Sandland, and John Moseley Jr, his brother.
