After the death of her mother in 1891, Jean was placed in the care of the sister of St. Frances Academy at Owensboro for two years, then went to live with a sister.
Jean married (1) Edward Hinkle, and (2) W. R. Finigan.

Jean McAdams Finigan died in Longview, Gregg Co TX, at the Good Shepherd Hospital. Her address was 508 E. Whaley and she had lived in Longview about 8 years. She died of pneumonia on 4 Mar 1963, age 73. Jean was widowed. She was born 23 Aug 1889 in Hawesville, KY, daughter of Eugene P. McAdams and Mary Elizabeth Pope. Mrs. Henry L. Allan was the informant. She was buried Hawesville Cemetery, Hawesville, KY
