Miss Holderness is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Mrs. A. S. Holderness of Fordyce, Mrs. Robert F. Jackson of Nashville TN and a niece of Mrs. John R. Hampton [Sarah Virginia Holderness] of Little Rock, H. I. Holderness of Pine Bluff, and Miss Minnie Holderness of Fordyce, and was a visitor in Arkansas last summer.
She graduated from Mary Institute & Vassar College. She made her debut at a ball given by her parents at the St. Louis Woman's Club and was special maid of honor at the Veiled Prophet's Ball that year. She is a member of the Junior League.
Mr. Ridley, the son of William P. Ridley, graduated from the University of Tennessee and resides at Clifton Place, the historic family home near Nashville, TN. He is a member of Bellemeade Country Club.

Columbia, Tenn - services for William P. Ridley Jr., 72, of Columbia, a farmer and former president of Maury County Tobacco Warehouse Co. will be at 11 am today at First Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Ridley died Wednesday at his home.
...Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eunice Holderness Ridley; a daughter Mrs. Rupert M. Colmore, Cashiers, NC; a son William P. Ridley III, St. Louis; a brother, Campbell Ridley, Columbia; a sister Mrs. Charlie Jewell, Columbia, and four grandchildren.

According to Holderness descendant Eunice remarried after William Ridley's death and as of the summer of 2001, she was in a nursing home. Daughter Eunice lives in Franklin, TN.

Ridley, Eunice Jackson Holderness, 89, long-time resident of the Ridley Farm on Mr. Pleasant Pike, died Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007.
....Born August 16, 1917 in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Eunice Baxter Jackson Holderness and Marvin Early Holderness. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where she attended John C. Burroughts School and graduated from Mary Institute. ...She continued her education at Vassar College.
She was married March 14, 1942 to William Pillow Ridley. mr. Ridley was a prominent Maury County farmer for many years and preceded her in death in 1980.
....Survivors include her daughter, Eunice Ridley (Rupert) Colmore of Duck River; her son William Pillow (Charlotte) Ridley of St Louis; five grandchildren, Eunice Colmore (Doug) Rodman of Duck River, Dale Colmore (Spencer) Dominick of Wilsall, Montana, Mary Colmore (Larry) Beaty of Nashville, Caroline Elizabeth Ridley of Riverside, CA, Nathan William Ridley of St. Louis; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Colton Duncan, Perrin Pullman Dominick, Susannah Colmore Rodman, and Rupert "Mac" Rodman.
