John Cook served on a jury.

4 Feb 1799 Warren Co KY Court of Quarter Sessions. Called session for examination of Jonathan Russell charged with counterfeiting and passing bad money and concealing the utensils for making same. Prisoner led to the bar in custody of the Sheriff, witnesses sworn in and he was allowed to testify in his own behalf. Court found him guilty and ordered he be tried in district court at Bardstown. Deemed bailable, went bond with Jonathan Russell, John Cox and John Cook, securities, 175 #'s each. To appear in Bardstown the first Monday in May.

Warren Co DB D; p.83 Articles of agreement between Samuel Caldwell of Logan Co & John Cook with John Marshall his securities, and Wm Chapline & Abel Hennon in behalf of Warren Co Court. Samuel Caldwell to locate land for use of a Seminary for Warren Co. Caldwell agrees together with Cook & Marshall to survey 400 acres for Seminary and 2000 acres for his own use of the land for Seminary. 6 Jul 1807.
[My note: Samuel Caldwell was a major player in early Logan Co. I've always assumed there would be some family connection if I got around to looking carefully at these people. I eventually discovered that Samuel was, in fact, John Cook's brother-in-law.]

Warren Co DB E, p. 302 William McWilliams of Territory of Natchez & County of Madison to Nancy Bunch for $400. 100 acres, beginning at 200 acres survey patented by sd McWilliams as assignee of David Hudspeth, who assignee of Geo Elder; to tract deeded to Littleton & John Cook. Sally McWilliams, wife, relinquished her dower. 23 Feb 1811.

Warren Co DB F; p.435 Burwell Jackson to Leroy Jackson for $500. 250 acres on Gasper to John Cook's corner. 8 Dec 1814

Warren Co Deed Book H, p.132. 15 Mar 1817 John Cook and Margaret his wife to Robert Briggs & Jane his wife and Daniel Myers for $233. 43 acres on Gasper River begin Jacob Myers' house to Jacob Grubb's corner. 180 acres adjacent, part of Cook's headright. Robert Briggs releases his right to Myers.
