p.54 1759 By consent of Phillip Estes and Elizabeth Estes. Anthony Thornton, Gent., Joseph Stevens, Henry Terrell & William Conner appointed to lay off the dower of the said Elizabeth. (It appears Phillip, son of Abraham's first wife and Elizabeth are executors/administrators of the estate. Elizabeth's widow's third to be laid off.)
p.54 12 Jul 1759 Elizabeth Estes was appointed guardian to Lucy, Elisha, Benjamin, Mary Ann, and Edmund Estes, orphans of Abraham Estes, dec'd. (They are all under age 14, or they could have chosen their own guardian)
NOTE: It appears the relationship between the widow Elizabeth and her stepson was difficult.
p.71-72 16 Aug 1759 Elizabeth Estes vs. Phillip Estes for Trespass, assault and battery. Verdit for plaintiff as to asault, not guilty as to rest of charge. Elizabeth Estes ordered to pay William Crisp and Robert Chapman as witnesses. Dispute of trespass to be left to the determination of Edmund Pendleton.

p.82 1759 Phillip Estes vs. Elizabeth Estes and Gabriel Long, admin. of Abraham Estes. Dispute for his account for he share of three crops as an overseer, to be left to the determination of Edmund Pendleton. Plaintiff to be paid for his claim as overseer for the testator from the beginning until the time of his death.
p.83 1759. Same case. Plaintiff recovered value of corn.
p.83 1759 Elizabeth Estes vs. Philip Estes for taking away a trunk and assault. Trunk awarded defendant. Plaintiff to recover 40 shillings for violence.
p.122 14 Aug 1760 Ordered William Tyler, Anthony Thornton and Robert Taliaferro, Gent. to settle the administration of the estate of Abraham Estes.
p.261 12 Nov 1761 Ordered Elizabeth Estes to be summoned to the next court to give Thomas Scott and John Griffen counter security for the estate of Abraham Estes, dec'd, or to deliver up the said estate.
p.300 1762 Summons obtained by Thomas Scott against Elizabeth Estes is dismissed.
p.344. Suit in chancery brought by John Pickett against Administration of Abraham Estes, Dec'd. Continued.
