From Library of Virginia digital images:
Bible in possession of Miss Florence Carpenter of Warren Co KY. This Bible was given to Miss Carpenter by her mother who had received it from Miss Carpenter's grandmother. There follows a handwritten transcription of Thomas Blakey's Bible.
The oft quoted "George Blakey Bible Record" was also printed in The Virginia Genealogist, compiled by J. F. Dorman, Vol 1, 1957, p.89.
The Bible states that Sarah Eleanor (Duncan) Carpenter bequeathed the Bible to her daughter Miss Florence Carpenter of Warren Co, KY, from which the copy was obtained by George H. S. King of Fredericksburg, VA, who contributed the transcript to the above publication.

Family data from Paula Kelley gives a death date of 19 Jan 1791 in Buckingham County, VA - I suspect this may be the date of death of the son Thomas.
According to article in the "Magazine of Virginia Genealogy" Vol. 2 #4, October 1964, written about Bernard B. Blakey, Thomas did go to Buckingham County.

Thomas Blakey & David Patterson, Executors.

Albemarle Co Deeds [I have no definite information that the following deeds belong to this Thomas Blakey. He would be the right age and given the fact his wife was Ann Haden and several of her brothers were living in Albemarle, I think it's likely this is the same man. Also the Slate River is located in present day Buckingham Co VA]
DB 1, p.33 8 Sep 1748 William Noland of Albemarle sold to Thomas Blakey of Goochland for 50 £, 200 acres on Arthurs Creek of Slate River, part of the 400 acres granted to Noland where he was living. Then in DB 2, p.87 on 9 Nov 1758, William Noland sold his remaining 200 acres to John Nowlin, again citing the location as Arthur's Creek. Thomas Blakey was a witness to this transaction.
