Liahona Book has year of second marriage as 1746.

According to article in the "Magazine of Virginia Genealogy" Vol. 2 #4, October 1964, written about Bernard B. Blakey, George settled in Spotsylvania County. Spotsylvania Deed and Minute Books show a George Blakey as overseer of roads, witness, appraiser, etc. from 1749 to 1771.

5 Sep 1749, George Blakey bought 500 acres, from Wm. Golson and his wife Susanna of St. George's Parish. George Blakey as being of the same place. The land adjoined Anthony Garnett and Joseph Hawkins and was the remainder of a patent granted Anthony and William Golson on 28 Sep 1726.

George Blakey witness a deed from Obediah Howerton to John Waggoner, both also of St. George's Parish, 13 Dec 1750.

16 May 1771, Joseph Hawkins & Margaret his wife of Berkeley Parish sold 100 acres to George Blakey of same.
