Joseph Blakey

(28 Aug 1762 - Abt 1792)

Family immigrated to Wilkes Co GA about 1790 based on tax records.

Winifred Anthony starts paying taxes on 155 acres of the property of Joseph Anthony as early as 1793. In 1794, her brother Bolling Anthony , Agent, does the return for the widow Winifred Anthony. In 1801 and 1802 there are tax returns for "the heirs" of Joseph Anthony - possibly children are reaching their majority or someone different is filing the returns for the remainder of his property.
