Ivory Thomas Wishard, died 4 Jan 1947 at the Johnson County Home, Johnson Co, IN, of cerebral hemorrhage. He was born 26 Aug 1882 in Indiana and was single, a retired laborer. Father was John Wishard; mother Elizabeth Israel, their birthplaces unknown. Frank Wishard was the informant. Buried Jan 6th at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Ivory Wishard Dies at County Home
Funeral Services Today for Life-Long Resident
Ivory Thomas Wishard, 64 years of age, died at the Johnson County Home, at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon. He had suffered two or three strokes and had been ill for some time.
Funeral services held at First Baptist church by Rev. Fred Baldus. Interment took place in Greenlawn Cemetery…
Mr. Wishard was born August 23, 1882, the son of John and Elizabeth Israel Wishard, in Johnson county and his entire life had been spent here. He was known to everyone as “Cooney.”
He was a cook by trade until his health failed. He was never married.

Two brothers, Frank Wishard of Franklin and Clyde Wishard, a patient at the Veteran’s Hospital at Indianapolis are the only immediate survivors. His mother died two months ago.
