Mrs. Elizabeth Wishard Receives Greetings From Her Many Friends
Mrs. Elizabeth Wishard observed her 93rd birthday Friday at the home of her sons, Clyde and Ivory Wishard at 451 North Young street. There was no special observance of the day but Mrs. Wishard received many callers and remembrances.
In good health considering her advanced age, Mrs. Wishard is able to read and is interested in current affairs. She loves to sit on her porch and talk to her friends and neighbors who stop to visit her. She has always been a kind and considerate neighbor and is one of the highly esteemed women of the community.
Mrs. Wishard is the widow of John Wishard. Her three sons, Clyde, Ivory and Frank Wishard and two brothers are her only immediate family living.

Funeral Wednesday At Vandivier Mortuary
Mrs. Elizabeth Israel Wishard, age 93, widow of John Wishard, died Monday afternoon at 4:15 o’clock at the Johnson nursing home, where she had been a patient for a number of months. Death resulted from the infirmities of age.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Vandivier funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery…
Mrs. Wishard, who had lived in Franklin the greater part of her life, was born July 21, 1853 in Johnson county, the daughter of William and Mary A. Hougham Israel. She was united in marriage to John Wishard, who preceded her in death a number of years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Frank, Ivory and Clyde Wishard, all of Franklin; and two brothers, Daniel Israel of Franklin. A number of nieces and nephews also remain.
Mrs. Wishard was a devoted wife and mother, and a kind and considerate neighbor. She had many friends in the community. Mrs. Wishard had been a member of the tabernacle Christian church since 1887.
