Obadiah Brown
( - 24 Aug 1716)
12 Sep 1716. Mr. John Browne and Mr. James Browne granted administration of estate of their deceased brother Obadiah Brown. They and Lt. Roger Burlinham are chosen guardians to his children.
10 Dec 1722 Mr. John Browne is dead; his son John Browne is impowered to take his place concerning the estate of Obadiah Brown.
Inventory of estate is in Early Town Records of Providence. Apparently Obadiah did have a family, but his wife died about the same time he did. Among the items of his inventory was "his wifes wearing apparel". Two children have been suggested, John, b. about 1703, and Chad, b. 13 Oct 1705.
