In 1693, John sold to his brother Obadiah 60 acres, west of Sakesakett, in the Second Division and a tract west of the Seven-Mile line which had been owned by "my grandfather Chad Browne". The first tract was in what is now Johnston, the last one in Scituate and Glocester, on their boundary line.
Widow Isabel Browne and son John to have administration of the estate of Ensign John Brown deceased. 23 Nov 1719.
