In 1816, William Longmire left the slave, Robert, to his granddaughter Sally Longmire, daughter of his son Robert.

Sarah H. Longmire of Granville County wrote her will. To her dearly beloved nephew Robert B. Longmire (son of Samuel H. Longmire), four Negroes, viz: Juner, Prudence, Constance, and Ann Elizie with all their increase and all the interest in the estate of my father Robert Longmire as left to me in his Will. The Negroes are to live with my mother Elizabeth until Robert B. Longmire arrives to the age of 21 years, Mother to have benefit of them until that time. If Robert B. Longmire should die without a lawful heir, I bequeath Juner, Prudence, Constance and Ann ELizer and my interest in Father's estate and all the increase to my sister Emley B. Green.
To my brother James H. Longmire, 5 shillings.
I ordain my worthy cousin George Washington Hunt, Executor.

August Court 1848. Will proved on oath of John P. Hunt and Joseph Minor and George W. Hunt qualified as executor.

7 Feb 1849. The Inventory and account of sale of the estate of Sarah H. Longmire was returned to Court by George M. Hunt.
6 Nov 1849, Tues. Latney Montague, James C. Cooper & Hamilton Hester were appointed Commissioners to settle the account of George M. Hunt, administrator of Sarah Longmire.
