10 Oct 1850. The commissioners met for the division of the slaves of Robert Longmire, dec'd to divide into four lots - one for William Green, one for James Longmire, and two for Robert Longmire. They first valued the following Negroes: woman Letha, $250; man Burwell, $450; man Squire, $750; man Lewis, $675; woman Mary & children Charles & John, $375. Giving to each share the sum of $625. Robert Longmire drew Lots 1 (Burwell) and 4 (Letha, Mary and children Charles & John). Jas. Longmire drew lot 2 (Lewis).
