A middle name of Clark is not supported in the records.

Moved to Texas in 1847 with all his extended family except Clark T. Porter who remained in Butler Co. Benjamin went to collect debt in land from John W. Porter who died before he arrived and a disagreement ensued.

Benjamin is listed in the 1850 Mortality census for Burleson Co. He was 55, died in July of 1849 of Bilious Fever, a Farmer.
Buried at Elizabeth Chapel, Caldwell, Burleson County TX. Inscription on his tombstone: "His spirit is in our Father's house where the children of his love are gathered."
