Interdicted
Upon a petition being filed and presented to his honor, A. W. O. Hicks, judge of the first judicial district court, alleging that Henderson Hayden, a well known citizen of this parish, was insane, the unfortunate man was brought before Judge Hicks yesterday morning. Drs. Lyon and Coty, summoned as medical experts, carefully examined Mr. Hayden in open court and found him of unsound mind. they expressed the opinion that his own safety, as well as that of his family, required that he should be confined in some asylum or other safe place for special treament.
After hearing the witnesses and the opinion of the medical experts, Judge Hicks said he was satified that Hayden was insame, and ordered that he be taken to the asylum at Jackson, LA, by the sheriff.
Mr Hayden's home is three miles from this city in this parish, and has a wife and several children.
