24 Oct 1666, Richard and Mary Arnold were fined 40 shillings for fornication. Convictions happened if a child's birth was too soon after a marriage.

Richard was a Deputy and Assistant for town of Providence RI for many years.
Inventory of Richard Arnold, deceased exhibeted on 19 May 1710. Names widow Sarah; sons Richard, John, Thomas. Joseph Jenckes Junr and Samuel Comstock made inventory and appraisal. There was a copy of a will dated 8 Jun 1708 signed by Richard Arnold & sealed but there were no witnesses. The Court declared it as good directions but not a valid will. Sarah offered Administration but refused; granted to the sons. Daughter Mary Steere, and husband Thomas Steere named. Referred to as Capt Richard Arnold throughout court proceedings. Inventory of his estate was worth #134.5.10.

The Steere Genealogy states that Capt. Richard had devised one half of his mills at Nissatasket to his son-in-law Thomas Steere in 1710.
26 Mar 1712 Richard, John & Thomas Arnold [for a valuable sum] deeded one half of a tract of land in Providence, both sides of the Wanasquatucket River, at or near the corn mill and saw mill which formerly belonged to their father, Richard Arnold. Apparently this deed gave Thomas Steere full possession of the mills.
