Individual Details
Mary Wentworth "Polly" Poindexter
(11 Mar 1775 - 6 Feb 1863)
Mary is said to have carried letters through the Revolutionary War lines and is listed as a Patriot in the DAR lineage books. However, the proof is no long to be found and this connection has been disallowed.
It appears that some of the data that has been repeated in several books on the Poindexter family is not quite correct. Mary & Jesse had a proved daughter Berrilla but no daughter Jane. Jane was possible Jesse's younger sister.
