Story from Ancestry tree:
Elleander "Ellen" Baker Aldridge was known to her family as either "Ellen" or to the younger ones as "Granny Aldridge." The family had connections in Madison County, Alabama as well as here in Autauga or Chilton/Baker County. The story was told in the family that when one or more of her sons got their "behinds on a crack" the family would move to the other county until things cooled off! Apparently one of these times was when my grandfather Albert Middleton Cunningham was born to "Ellen's" daughter, Suvilla/Louvenia Jane Aldridge in Madison County, Alabama. Jane named her son, Albert Middleton Cunningham--Middleton after one of her brothers, and Cunningham after an Unknown Cunningham. Soon Jane was back in Chilton/Baker County where Ellen did much of the early rearing of Albert Middleton Cunningham, her grandson.
