Online sources with no real substantiation suggest the following family for Jesse.
He was the son of a William Morris - perhaps William Alonzo Morris, b. ca 1755 in Rowan NC, died 1835, Spartanburg SC. William may have had an early first marriage to a Barbara, who died about 1787, Spartanburg - two sons, James & Joseph born late 1770's. About 1794, William is said to have married Elizabeth or Sarah Jane Darling, b. 1867, d. 1857.

Jesse P. Morris
Richard Morris who married Naomi Allen. He was born 1 Oct 1797, Old Pendleton, SC, d. 11 Feb 1876. There is a pic ture of his grave marker. Naomi was born 10 Apr 1807, d. 27 Aug 1896. FindAGrave lists their burials at Noah's Ark Church Cemetery, Jonesboro, Clayton Co, GA
Alonzo Allen Peeples Morris. Has been given the same dates of birth and death as Richard but no stone is pictured. Married Elizabeth A. Kugler, b. 1805, d. 1865. (a sister to Jesse's wife???). FindAGrave lists their burials at Noah's Ark Church Cemetery, Jonesboro, Clayton Co, GA. However, there is a note that says a History of Clayton Co says he is "probably" buried at that cemetery. Another database says that Alonzo was born 1800, d. 1874 in Stockbridge, GA. He married second wife Elizabeth Sims, 1869, Clayton Co, GA
Samuel Darling Morris, b. 1802, d. 1880, Fulton Co, GA. Married Mary Ann Camp, 5 Nov 1826. He married (2) Eliza Patterson about 1836.
Lewis Brooks Morris, b. 1808, d. 1856 Berrien Co, GA. He apparently had the nickname of something like Lovenski. He married (1) Frances Thorne, 11 Mar 1827, Spartanburg, and (2) Nancy Buke, 5 Nov 1843, Henry Co, GA

All but Jesse were in Henry Co GA in 1850. It is apparent that their mother is living with Lewis and she has the initial "S" - surely she was Sarah, not Elizabeth.
