Robert Lee Dixon

(1866 - )

According to the accounts of the Lee-Peacock feud, Bob Dixon was killed about the same time as his brothers Billy and Simp - probably about 1868. However, I think this is not the case. Certainly Billy and Simp were killed - and their cousin Charlie Dixon. Robert was just a tot during the feud and was probably named for Robert "Bob" Lee.

I believe that this is Robert:
R. L. Dixon married Ida Parker, 7 Aug 1892, Grayson Co, TX

1900 Census. Justice Prec 3, Red River Co, TX
Robert L. Dixon, b. Feb 1870, age 30, married for 10 years, b. TX, parents b. TN [Robert was older - he was 4 in 1870, 2 in 1880 - and they had been married for 8 years]
Ida, wife, b. Feb 1879, age 21 [obviously her age is wrong, too] 3 children, 2 are living [but 3 are listed], b. Illinois, parents b. Ill.
Marsha, dau, b. Feb 1893, age 7; born in Indian Territory
Lina, dau, b. Feb 1896, age 4, b. TX
Perle A., dau, b. Jun 1898, age 1, b. TX

I have found no trace of this family after 1900.
