There was more than one Jesse Goodman in Perry Co, TN, but no young male after Asa showed up in the early censuses with Alexander & Nancy until 1840 - he wasn't there in 1830.

This J. "A" Goodman, was in Hh 65, between Mahala Roberts and Asa Goodman in 1850. J. A. Goodman, age 17 and Mary E. age 19.
However, there was a male, Elemor [Elmer?] living with Nancy Goodman, age 18, in 1850 - was this Jesse by his middle name?

Another Jesse Goodman was age 30 in Perry Co in 1850, with wife Sarah age 28. Hh 488. Amos H., age 1.
Joseph Welborn, age 35 lived with them, as did Griffith Goodman, age 19.
