31 Oct 1726 - Patent for 358 Acres, Henrico Co. PB 13, p.9., Cavaliers III, p.317. New land.; North side of James river on Licking Hole, Cr. Begin at corner of Mims' land surveyed the same day with this. Note: although this land was granted in Henrico, it was the part that became Goochland Co. in 1727. The same grant seems to have been recorded twice
10 Mar 1733 - 358 acres on branches of Lickinghole Creek bought from Lionel Mims
15 Jan 1736 - 358 acres sold to Robert Mims. Land located on Lickinghole Creek
3 Aug 1744 - bought 1000 acres from John Batting
17 Jun 1746 - William Weldy gave to his daughter Agnes and her husband, David Mims, 195 acres where they were living
1755 - David sold 100 acres on Lickinghole Creek to Thomas Mims. Proven by witnesses 15 Aug 1758; acknowledged in court 16 Jan 1759
10 Apr 1777 - David gave to his son, David, 315 acres on Lickinghole Creek

DB 3, p.12 15 Jan 1736. David Mims sold to Robert Mims for 40£ 358 acres, north side James River on Lickinghole creek, begin SW corner of said Mims tract surveyed the same day with this, on his line. Ack. in Court 17 May 1737.
DB 3, p.213 Apr 1739. Robert Mims of Edgecome Co [NC] to John Wright, same tract as above ...granted to David Mims by patent 31 oct 1726. Wit: Robt Waters, John Mims, David Mims & proven by them, 15 May 1739.

DB 5, p.130 William Weldy, St. James Parish, Goochland with love for g-dau Elizabeth Mims & dau Agnis Mims and her husband David Mims, during their lifetime and after to my g-dau, the tract north side James River, West side Lickingham Creek, 195 acres whereon David & Agnes Mims now dwell. DB 11, p.169 10 Apr 1777 David Mims, the elder, to David Mims Jr. for natural love to his son, 315 acres on Lickinghole Creek, where David Mims the elder now lives. Acl. 21 Apr 1777.


Goochland DB 13, p.142 Oct 1781 - Will proven in Goochland Co Court. Son Shadrack died, 1777. In his will, David gave to Mary, Eliza, Sarah, Martha & Susannah, all daughters of son Shadrack, 40 pounds at the time Susannah, the youngest, comes of age 18. Said dated 28 Apr 1778.
To son Drury, 90#'s. to son David, 315 acrs of land, and three slaves. To son Gideon all remainder of plantation I now live on. To gdau Elizabeth Anderson, slave, bed, etc at time of her marriage or age 18. To each of my three daughters, viz: Elizabeth Jarrett, Mary Woodson wife of John Woodson, H. S. Susanna Anderson, 5sh and no more, having given each of them and also my deceased daus. Agnes Riddle and Judith Anderson, their full part. Residue to David & Gideon, sons and to be Executors.
