Earl Shaw, 89, of Van Buren died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, in Bella Vista at Concordia Care Nursing Center.
He was retired from Whirlpool Corp., member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, Navy veteran of World War II.
He was the widower of Madeline Shaw. He was also preceded in death by parents; William N. and Frances Duncan Shaw, two sisters; Mina Summerhill and Mary Russell, a brother; Marvin Shaw.
Funeral was Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with Nathan Almond officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors.
He is survived by two daughters, Fran McKean of Denton, Texas, and Paula Almond of Bella Vista; a son, Arnold Shaw of Chester, Va.; three sisters, Hazel Winstead and Mabel and Lucy Richmond, all of Van Buren; a brother, James Shaw of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wallace and Eugene Russell, Bruce and Rodney Shaw, Phil Richmond, Paul Summerhill and Roy Winsted.
