Arthur served in the War of 1812 as a private in the 7th Regt [Pearson's] of the NC Militia.

He married Mary "Polly" Hudnall on 6 Feb 1800, Edgecombe Co NC. They moved to Surry Co NC by 1808.

29 Jun 1817, Arthur's widow married Gilbert Kelms in Orange Co IN, so Arthur had died.

The 1810 census showed three male children who are not identified. Arthur & Polly had three daughters, Lucinda "Lucy", Betsey, & Sarah.
