Esther Chamberlain, widow, was appointed administratrix of the estate of William Chamberlain, late of Billerica, deceased, 20 Nov 1738. She married Benoni Spaulding, 21 Dec 1743.

Esther Spaulding returned an inventory of the homestead of 70 acres on the west of the Concord river and 40 acres, the westerly part of the homestead that was Clement Chamberlain's, deceased. She declared she would not have her thirds and quit-claimed it to her children. By agreement with John her eldest son, the second son William was to have the homestead; signed by Esther Spaulding, John & William Chamberlain and Andrew Farmer as guardian for the two minor boys, 10 Jul 1753. The estate of William Camberlain was to pay his siblings for his interest in the estate of Clement Chamberlain, their father:
£50 to Joseph
£30 to Rebecca and Samuel Gridly
£20 to Joseph and Elizabeth Kemp
£300 to Elizabeth Chamberlain for boarding and nursing the deceased's mother [presumably this was Mary]
the young William was to also pay:

Sisters Mary and Esther were each to receive £52:04:04

Joseph's receipt was dated 14 Oct 1754. He also received receipt for Samuel & Rebecca Gridley as their attorney. Joseph & Elizabeth Kemp gave receipt 6 Mar 1754.

Final inventory was taken 18 Sep 1754 and 38 acres valued at £470 on the west side of Concord river was settled on William Chamberlain.
