Individual Details

Capt Nathaniel WEST

(Abt 1675 - 23 Oct 1723)

Nathaniel married Martha Woodward Macon, said to have been the widow of Gideon Macon and daughter of William Woodward.

They are said to have a daughter Unity who married Col. William Dandrdge. I have also seen Unity placed as a sister to Nathaniel but that is not likely. I have seen a marriage date for a daughter of Unity and William Dandridge as 1739, indicating they would have married perhaps 1715-1720 and this Unity born sometime around 1700 or slightly before. Since John West died about 1691, it would seem most reasonable that Unity was not his daughter, but a granddaughter.
