John S. Thomas McCune was the first son of Samuel McCune and Margaret Dinsmore McCune. He was born 14 Jan 1815, Nicholas Co, KY and died 20 Dec 1862 in Howard Co IN. When he was 21, John married Eleanor Garner, daughter of Job Garner and Rebecca Garner of Delaware County, Indiana.
Elenor and John had the following children: Samuel, Rebecca Ann, Margaret, Job, Martha, Perry, William, John Edgar and Sarah.
John is buried in the Upper Kokomo Church or Poff cemetery. There is no grave marker.

Eleanor married second to Levi Mills - she was his second wife as well. He was born 8 Jan 1809, died 20 April 1891. Eleanor and Levi and buried Finchford Cemetery, Black Hawk Co, Iowa.
