Isaac appeared to have been living in Rowan Co NC when his father died there in 1771. He appears on a tax list in 1768. An Isaac Mabry served on juries circa 1767-1771. He is probably the Isaac Mabry who witnessed a deed from Peter and Mary Meiar to Lanier & Williams for land in Surry Co NC 27 Aug 1773. He was listed with 500 acres on the 1778 Rowan Co tax roll on land near Abbott's Creek that is now in Davidson Co. A short time later, by 1782, he is found on the tax rolls of Henry Co VA where he remains at least through 1787, along with his brother George.
