John Anderson

John Anderson attended vestry meeting at St. Paul Parish, Hanover Co on 16 Sep 1730. On 15 May 1731, John Bowles was sworn into the vestry in the place of Capt John Anderson, deceased. His widow Sarah, and her son John, sold lands on the Assassquin River to John Thompson 7 Aug 1735. The land had been conveyed to John Anderson from Samuel Waddy.
John's wife is generally considered to have been Sarah Waddy, daughter of Samuel Waddy who was a neighbor of the Anderson and Crawfords in St. Paul's Parish.
7 Aug 1735. Sarah Anderson, widow of John Anderson, late of the Parish of St. Paul, Hanover, and John Anderson of the same, planter, sell to John Thomas for 10#'s, 80 acres being the same land which Samuel Waddy, on 28 Jan 1696, conveyed to said John Anderson and Sarah, his wife, and to the heirs of her body, which heir the said John Anderson.
