It is recorded Thomas Claiborne & Anne Fox had twenty children, raised seventeen. They lived at Sweet Hall plantation and are buried there.

Marker at Sweet Hall:
"Here layes interred the body of Thomas Claiburn, Son of Col. Thomas Claiborn, and Grandson of William Claiborne, Esq. Secretary of Virginia. He departed this life August the 8th day 1732 age 51 years 8 months and 15 days."
