Individual Details
John FOX
(Abt 1729 - )
If there was really a son named John, he was deceased without issue before his father Richard made out his will in 1771. John is not mentioned. He is also not included as a sibling of Isham Fox in the deed of 1777, after Isham had died and his inheritance was sold. I have seen nothing to prove a son by this name existed. Strangely in the abstract in EARLY WILLS OF MECKLENBURG by Katherine B. Elliot, there is listed a child "John" - I think this was an error as the only Johns in the will were John Burchett, grandson, and John Kendrick, son-in-law. This book may be the source of this misplaced John Fox.
