DB B (1747-1751), p.1 13 Jan 1746-7 Samuel Pike of said Pasquotank, Farmer, and Joseph Pritchard of the same, Farmer, in consideration of 208£ sold one Moiety or half part of tract containing 325 acres by Patent, known by name of half way Tree Land. It being the land that John Pike of Frede. County in Virginia sold to me on 19 Oct 1744. Bounded by Matthew Reasons. To be equally divided between Joseph Pritchard and Benjamin Pike as it was to have been divided between the said Samuel Pike and Benjamin his Brother but hitherto hath not been done. The half part contains 162 1/2 acres whereon I the said Samuel Pike now dwell, on the NE side of the tract. p.2. Sarah Pike, wife of said Samuel Pike give right & title of dowry. Samuel requested from the Pasquotank Monthly Meeting, certificate to move to Opecking VA, 1 Oct 1737. Samuel and family produced the certificate at Opecking 4 Apr 1741.
On 2 Feb 1747, they requested certificate to go to Cape Fear; Sarah was granted a certificate on 2 Sep 1749.
Samuel and Sarah and family requested a certificate from Duns Creek, 5 Jun 1760, on behalf of Carver's Creek Monthly Meeting, 7 Mar 1760.
4 Feb 1762, Samuel was granted certificate to remove to Cane Creek, but apparently did not go there as the entry is marked (did not rem).

on 3 Feb 1763, Samuel was reported as married to Tabitha Scott
On 5 May 1763, Samuel and his second wife Tabitha were chosen overseers at Pasquotank
16 Dec 1772, Tabitha Pike granted few lines by way of certificate

Samuel and family requested certificate to move to Northampton County on 20 Jan 1773, but the certificate was withheld because of unsettled affairs.
21 Apr 1773 Samuel received certificate for Rich Square MM

There were said to be eight children - seven daughters and a son. Pasquotank Monthly Meeting lists the children and their births:

Contentnea (Nahunta) MM, Wayne Co, NC. First settlement was at Falling Creek, a stream flowing into the Neuse about 40 miles above New Bern (then in Johnson Co) The Yearly Meeting records of 1748 mentioned that they were meeting at the house of John Rattcliff at Falling Creek. In 1772, the meeting at Falling Creek was dropped and removed to Great Contentney. Among members prior to 1800 were Overman, Pike, etc. Meetings were held at Contentnea until 1851, then jointly with Nahunta and in 1856 was changed to Nahunta.

His death date is uncertain. About 1785, he either transferred property to his only son Nathan, or Nathan acquired the tract through inheritance. Local documents need to be examined.
