Individual Details
JEAN\JANE [Pike]
(Abt 1680 - Bef 1744)
Father possibly Patrick McGregory? Or should this be McGregor?
The records of Pasquotank show that a Peter McGregory proved headrights for himself, Letitia his wife, and one other on 19 Aug 1701. This is the only McGregory/McGregor in the NC Headrights.
Patrick may have been part of the family of Hugh McGregor/McGregory, 2nd husband of Africa Pike.
31 July 1718, Jane Pike petitioned for administration on the estate of Patrick and Gregor McGregor "in behalf of her children as nearest of kin." Petitoner was Mathew Pritchet. These were her nephews, sons of Africa Pike McGregor.
Jane Pike, widow, of Pascotank, married Arnould White at Little River Meeting House 4th month, 9th day, 1720.
