2nd LT. John Farley was the son of Meindert and Barbara (Van Dieren) Farley. Mary (Klein) Farley was his 1st wife. They were married January 30, 1776. Elizabeth (Sunderland) Farley was his 2nd wife. They were married about 1793. Elizabeth "Betsey" (Heaton) Smith Heaton Farley was his 3rd wife. They were married about 18O4 and she died October 15, 1847.
John and his second wife are buried Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston, Niagara Co, NY

John's children were all born at Flanders, New Jersey; he moved to Mountainsville, but later returned to Flanders. He died in Pennsylvania while making arrangements to move his family there and it was some time before his wife knew of his death. There were nine children, four by his first wife, five by his third.
