Instructions include that Honour is to be left to the care of her Aunt Elisabeth Watkins, wife of John Watkins, living in Henrico Co. If wife dies, Aunt Watkins is also to have the care of son Michael. Elizabeth is either a sister of Michael or a sister of his wife Joyce - probably the latter given that Elizabeth & John Watkins named a daughter Joyce. Executors: wife Joyce Sullivan, Lewis Dupree. Wit: Jno Irby, John Gladdish, James Lundy, Burchet X Turner

Negro man James belonged to daughter Honour; Negro man Jack belonging to son Michael; Negro man Phillip & other items belonged to son John. Appraised by Lewis Dupree, Burrell Brown as by court order 2 Jun 1737. Returned to Court 6 Jul 1738 by Joyce Sullivant widow & Lewis Dupree, the excrs. Drury Stith CC.

According to John Hale Stutesman in SOME WATKINS FAMILIES OF VA AND THEIR KIN, p.551, processiones in Mar of 1747-48, reported their survey of Eliza Watkins's land. [From Henrio Parish Vestry minutes]

The last mention of Elizabeth Watkins is in Aug 1758 when the Henrico Co Court gave Henry Stokes permission for a road from his land to the main road to the Brook Bridge, passing through the land of his neighbors, William Bacon and Elizabeth Watkins. Either the widow was still living there in 1758 or the land was still to referred to as hers.
