Grover Lee Barnett died of acute myocardial infarction on 31 May 1966, Goldies Boardig Home, Stella, Newton County where he had been for one year. His home was Stella. Born 26 Aug 1885 in Rocky Comfort, MO, he was a retired farmer. Divorced. Son of H. C. Barnett and Isabelle I. Brown. Audie G. Barnett of Hannibal, MO was the informant. Wheaton, MO. Grover Lee Barnett, 80 years old, died at 9:45 o'clock Tuesday night in a Stella rest home where he had been a patient for one year.
Born August 26, 1885, in McDonald county, he had lived in the area most of his life. He had farmed near Rocky Comfort until his retirement nearly five years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Dr. Floyd Barnett, Paris, Mo., Audie Barnett, Hannibal, and Ivan Barnett, Washington; a daughter Mrs. Fern Leathers of Pittsburg, Calif.; a brother, D. A. Barnett, Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Breazelle, Augusta, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Sappington, Hot Springs, Ark; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday (DST) at the Pogue chapel with the Rev. Eddie Bowman officiating. Burial will be in the Chitwood cemetery south of Wheaton.

OBITUARY
Grover Lee Barnett, son of Isabelle and H. C. Barnett, was born Aug 20, 1885 in McDonald County, MO. At the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 11 days he departed this life May 31, 1966 at Goldie's Guest Home in Stella, where he had resided the past year
...In 1907 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Houser. To this union one daughter and three sons were born, all of whom survice.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Fern Leaths of Pittsburgh, CA; three sons, Ivan Barnett of Port Townsend, Wash., Audie Barnett, Hannibal, MO, and Dr. Floyd Barnett, Paris, MO; one brother, D. A. Barnett, Springfield, MO.; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Breazeale, Augusta, Kan., and mrs. Mary Sappington of Hot Springs, Arkl, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
...Interment was made in the Chitwood Cemetery.
