Andrew J. and Margaret Hanes appeared on the 1880 Blount County
Census. On her Confederate widow's pension application, Margaret
reported her husband died 24 Jul 1889. Margaret was in Jefferson
County in 1900 living with her son-in-law William Lynn.

Joshua Andrew Jackson Hanes died of cancer of the ear near Cusseta in
Cass County, Texas.
