Sis and Sarah were twins. Rella was listed as Willie, male, in 1880 Census. The birth date shown here is from the Comstock-Haggard book. In 1900, "Rillen" was stated born June of 1870. She was also said to have been married 12 years and it had been only 10 - daughter Ethel said born in May 1890, only about 4 months after the marriage.

Although Rilla is buried Akins Cemetery, in Oklahoma, she appears in the Arkansas Death Index as having died in Sebastian Co, AR. I wonder if she was in the hospital in Fort Smith at the time of her death. From the index she appears to have been a resident of Oklahoma and her date of death, the 11th of October, 1945. Only the year of her death appears on her gravestone. FindAGrave has her death as 13 Dec 1945.

Rilla Caroline Howell died of metastasized cancer, 11 Dec 1945 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co, where she had been in the hospital 3 days. Her home was Muldrow, Sequoyah Co, OK. She was born 2 Nov 1872 in Crawford Co, AR. Widowed. Father, George Haggard, mother, unknown. Informant was George Howell of Muldrow. Buried Akins Oklahoma Cemetery, Dec 13th.
