Harve richard Howell, age 79 years, 9 months and 12 days, died at his home near Akins last Friday, October 19th. Mr. Howell was born in Uniontown, Arkansas, but has been a resident of this community since before statehood. He was a retired farmer and has reared a large family who are all well known in Sequoyah County.
suriving him are his widow; five sons Chester of Okmulgee, tom of Depew, Guy of Muldrow, George and Jim of the home; six daughters, Mrs. M. O. Redden of Long, Mrs. Wallace Ewing of California, Mrs. Jess Harkreeder, Sallisaw; Mrs. Bill Miller, Muldrow; Mrs. Roose Marshall, and Mrs. Clayton Amos, both of Ft. Smith. He also leaves one brother, George of Uniontown, Arkansas, two sisters, Mrs. Bill King of Muldrow and Mrs. spencer Byrum of Uniontown, twenty-nine grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services...in New Hope Community Chruch..... Burial was in the Akins Cemetery., Pall bearers were three sons-in-law and three grandsons, namely: M. O. redden, Bill Miller, Clayton Amos, J. R. Redden, Ted Howell and Fred Howell.
