In July 1851 Brother Davidson Jones and his wife Rachel dismissed by letter from the Clear Fork Baptist Church in Cumberland, KY, meaning they were moving to another church and in October 1851 received by experience into the Wolf River United Baptist Church in what was then Overton County, Tennessee... Rachel’s death and birth were recorded in the Wolf River Baptist Church records upon her death.
A Rachel was listed as wife of Davidson Jones in the Wolf River Baptist Church records as dying 31 Dec 1863. However, Davidson was living with his son Fleming in 1850 and NO wife was present. Perhaps she had not yet moved. Neither Davidson nor Rachel are in the 1860 census in Overton Co, TN.
