William Chamberlin Jr

William Chamberlin received a house and lands at Colchester from his father 29 Sep 1714. He also purchased other tracts of land there.
On 28 Jan 1733, William and his wife joined the First Congregational Church in Colchester. The first six children were recorded under marriage of parents on town records but only the birth dates of the first three are given. The deterioration of the town records probably accounts for the missing birthdates.
Samuel Day of Colchester sold to William Chamberlain, Jr. of Hebron, 20 May 1745 or 1746, a parcel of 12.25 acres in Hebron where Samuel then dwelt.
On 15 Nov 1748, he made a division of lands with his brothers John, Joseph, and Benjamin. He was often chosen for town office.
William Chamberlain of Hebron and his brother John Chamberlain of Colchester made bond for their father, William Chamberlain of Colchester on 11 Mar 1756. Along with his mother Sarah Chamberlain and brothers Jehu, Nathaniel, & Joel sold to their brother Ebenezer of Heborn land where Ebenezer lived in Hebron, 15 Nov 1757.
William of Hebron sold to Hezekiah Holdridge of Colchester, 53 acres in Colchester, 7 Mar 1767. On 19 Mar 1767, he sold another parcel of 12.25 acres in Hebron to Hezekiah.
He was enumerated in Strafford, VT by 17 May 1771, but did not sign two petitions to New York in Nov & Dec of 1770 that most residents of the region signed. He cam to Strafford with four of his son - Amasa, Elias, Issac, & Asahel.
