White, 77 years old, mother of Mrs. Ray Carter of the C and W cafe and whose home was at 531 West Sycamore street, died at 6:35 o'clock this morning in McCune Brooks hospital where she had been a patient one day. Mrs. White suffered a heart attack yesterday morning and was taken to the hospital. She was the widow of C. C. White, who died October 12, 1949. Mrs. White was born September 21, 1874 in Tamarva*, Ill., and was married September 23, 1896 to Mr. White in Fall River, Kan. They came to Carthage in 1912 from Oklahoma and had resided here since. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving besides Mrs. Carter, are five sons, W. K. White, Charles C. White, J. L. White, and A. A. White, all of Tulsa, Okla., W. W. White of Nevada and another daughter, Mrs. C. H. Dale of Tulsa, and a brother, C. R. Winthrop of Wichita, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Knell service home with the Rev. James Hall of the Church of Christ in charge. Burial will be in Park cemetery.
