Funeral services for Will H. Nevill, 85, retired Bonham businessman will be held at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Stone Risinger of Sulpher Springs former pastor of the First Methodist church in Bonham and the Rev. Earl James, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Willow Wild cemetery. Mr. Nevill whose home was at 321 West 7th street, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 1956. He had been in failing health for the past two years and critically ill for the past two months. Born April 24, 1876 in Illinois, the soon of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Nevill he came to Texas with them as a small child in a covered wagon. The family settled near Gober where he grew to manhood. As a young man he came to Bonham to work and after a short time became a partner in Hancock-Nevill Men's clothing store. He was in the men's clothing business for many years before selling out. He was married to Miss Nell Critenden, who survives, Feb. 10, 1903. Mr. Nevill was an active and long-time member of the First Methodist church. He served as a member of the board of stewards for many years and attended all services of the church until failing health prevented. A son, Will H. Nevill, Jr. and daughter Mrs. Malcolm Campbell preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nell Nevill, a daughter, Mrs. James A. Bybee; a sister Mrs. Lemah Guy of Taylor; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
