Lake Charles American Press, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Wednesday, December 23, 1964, Page 18, Col. 2: Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Winona Shroyer, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the south chapel of Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Harold Price. Mrs. Shroyer, a native of Madison, Wis., died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lova Berry at 2116 First St. She had been a resident of Lake Charles for 20 years. Additional survivors are one son, Darrell Shroyer of Waterville, Wisc.; two daughters, Mrs. Iris Santa Maria of Lake Charles and Mrs. Vada Lueers of Panoka, Alberta, Canada; one brother, R. F. Kirkpatrick of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
