The Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, Washington, January 23, 1997, Page 9: Dryden--Harry Andrew "John" Schober, 68, a longtime resident of Dryden, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. He was born Oct. 16, 1928, to John G. and Martha A. (Overholser) Schober at Osage, Minn., where he was raised and educated. Harry owned and operated a small trucking company, hauling logs and maintaining roads for the U.S. Forest Service. He was an independent trucker who retired in 1993 due to illness. He married Billie Barton on Dec. 12, 1981, at East Wenatchee, making their home in Dryden. Harry is survived by his wife, Billie, of the family home; four sons, David, Ron, Steve and Russ; four daughters, Doris, Dawn, Cheryl and Lisa; four brothers, Leon Schober of Palmer, Alaska, Raymond Schober of Wenatchee, Chester Schober of East Wenatchee and John Schober of St. Regis, Mont.; two sisters, Lorena Knight of Dryden, and Mabel Euell of Newberg, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Huey Miller Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, three brothers and a sister. Braun Funeral Home of Cashmere is in charge of arrangements.
