Seattle Daily Times, March 19, 1966: Two Injured In Stevens Pass Collision. Two men were injured, one critically, when a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided in the Stevens Pass Highway, 12 miles east of the Summit, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Irwin Schober, 56, Marysville, was admitted to Leavenworth Hospital with severe head injuries. Lylle M. Fisher, 35, Tonasket, Okanogan County, suffered a shoulder bruise. State Trooper Mike Davidduke said Schober's west bound pickup spun out of control in snow and ran into the path of Fisher's truck. Traffic was snarled until after 6 o'clock.

Seattle Daily Times, March 26, 1966: Marysville Man Dies of Traffic Injuries. Leavenworth, Chelan Co. March 26-AP-Irwin John Schober, 55, Marysville died in a hospital here yesterday of injuries suffered in a truck collision March 18. The State Patrol said Schober's pickup truck was west bound on Highway 2 when it collided with an east bound truck. The accident occurred 21 miles west of Leavenworth.
