Funeral services for Mrs. Zada Carter, 80-year-old housewife, who died Sunday at her home at 904 North Second street after an illness of three months, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the First General Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Wiggs will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Groer Croy and Fitch Funeral Chapel. The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel beginning tomorrow morning. Born July 22, 1884 in Calhoun County, Ill., she was married April 9, 1905, to the late Epha Carter who preceded her in death in May, 1956. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. among the survivors are a son, Truman Carter of Poplar Bluff and one daughter, Mrs. Lillian M. Manning, Miami, Fla. There are two grandchildren, Linda and George Manning, both of Miami, Fla.
