The Pittsburg Daily Headlight, Pittsburg, Kansas, Wednesday, April 18, 1917, Page 5: Death of Mrs. Zed Johnson. Mrs. Edwina Canalys Johnson, 58, years of age, wife of Zed Johnson, died yesterday afternoon at her home 214 West Madison at 2:25 o'clock. Mrs. Johnson had been in bad health for almost a year. She is survived by her widower and two sons, Ernest Johnson of Wellington and Oree Johnson, who lives at 124 West Monroe. Her mother Mrs. E. M. Briggs, 411 West Adams, also survives her. Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Pittsburg for twelve years, having come here from Nashville, Mo., where she had lived since childhood. She had since childhood been a member of the Baptist church. The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the home. Prof. G. W. Trout will conduct the service. Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery.
